Official Affliction Studios Grand Opening and MEGADETH!!!
SEAL BEACH, CA January 22, 2016
Seal Beach HQ proudly unveiled our newest addition, Affliction Studios, last night during a grand opening party and Megadeth album release. Affliction Studios is a unique destination for bands, artists & athletes to hang, perform, get on the radio, and get hooked up with the latest Affliction gear. The studio features a fully pimped out lounge upstairs complete with a pool table and industrial beer fridge. Downstairs there is a stage and radio studio for interviews and performances with live streaming and recording capabilities.
Radio/TV personality Jose Mangin hosted the event along with Heavy Metal icon Dave Mustaine from MEGADETH. Dave was in the house for a listening party debuting their 15th studio album Dystopia, out today January 22nd through Tradecraft/Universal Records.
The house was packed and guests enjoyed live performances from California hard rock bands KYNG (Razor & Tie Records) and PAINTED WIVES (Century Media Records). We also held a contest for entry and 15 fans were granted access to this private event. An open bar provided beer and cocktails, including jalapeño infused Riazul tequila margaritas, ice cold Jagermeister, and “The Lemmy.” The house was packed with VIPs all night including, Sen Dog (Cypress Hill), Scott Lewis (Carnifex), Dino Cazares (Fear Factory), Levi Benton (Miss May I) and members of Suicide Silence, Darkest Hour and Veil of Maya. Borracho Tacos also had their truck parked conveniently outside the studio door for an incredibly delicious late night snack.
Jose Mangin, Affliction VP of Brand Management and SiriusXM Director Of Music Programming had this to say; “We now have the coolest spot on the planet to hang, jam, eat tacos, play pool, get killer clothes, listen to music, and be on my show. Not only will this be the new So Cal destination for veteran and emerging artists and athletes, it reaffirms our long standing commitment to being a brand that gives back and gives a sh*t!”
The studio and lounge is equipped with some of the best gear available, donated from our strategic and awesome partners; SONOS, SiriusXM, Marshall Amps, Yamaha, Dean Guitars, DDrums, ESP Guitars, CAD Audio, Monster Cables & Headphones, Aquarian Drumheads, DR Strings, Riazul Tequila, Jagermeister, Monster Energy, California Finest and G-Pen. Mangin will be using the studio regularly to host his SiriusXM Liquid Metal & Octane shows, as well as creating other compelling video content for socials and beyond.
We will be doing so much more with this space and opening it up to all different events and collaborations. More to come soon!
