Affliction Metal Night with Suicide Silence

Affliction Metal Night with Suicide Silence

This past Friday night we threw our first AFFLICTION METAL NIGHT with long time brand ambassadors SUICIDE SILENCE plus Winds Of Plague, As Blood Runs Black, Suffokate and Antagonist at The Observatory in Santa Ana, the hottest venue in Southern California.

It’s the first of many genre themed nights at our venue, where we involve a charity, some tacos, free stuff, killer music, and good vibes all around!

The charity we worked with this time was chosen by the guys in Suicide Silence.  All the proceeds from Friday’s show went to Mental Health America of Los Angeles, an organization that the members wanted to support themselves, as they have family and friends who suffer from mental health disorders, and they wanted to do something about it.

All night long there was this thick cloud of positive energy radiating between everyone and the place was completely packed!  SOLD the F-OUT!  From the minute we hit the stage to announce the first band till the end after Suicide Silence, the energy was through the roof and all the bands sounded SICK!

Favorite moment of the night is when Suicide Silence busted out a heavy as all hell version of KoRn’s “Blind,” and the whole place erupted!!!

Our friends in Winds Of Plague crushed us all and fans ate it up, as it was their first time playing together in years!

For Suicide Silence, this was their first proper headlining hometown show with Eddie Hermida, formerly of All Shall Perish, as their vocalist, filling the shoes of Huntington Beach native Mitch Lucker, who tragically died in a motorcycle accident in 2012.

Seeing what Eddie did on Friday night, sets a new bar of excellence for Suicide Silence and we wish our brothers nothing but continued dominance for years to come!

We had a blast giving away a bunch of cool stuff! We gave out tons of free Affliction shirts, we even made some custom shirts just for this event! Raffle prizes like a Jagermeister fire pit, a guitar-shot-ski for 3 ice cold Jager shots, Nuclear Blast Records prize packs with Suicide Silence vinyl, plus an autographed ESP Guitar that some dude nearly shit his pants over after winning!!!

Top top it off… we had a cool dude making tacos out back for the bands, VIPs and those who donated more to the charity got to experience backstage life through the power of some delicious tacos!

Heres  an article about the event written by OC Weekly

All in all, we did it for METAL, we did it for charity, and everyone left thankful to be a part of such an amazing night!

See ya at the next one!
