GSP BACK TO 100%

We all got excited when we saw this tweet from GSP: “I’m back in Montreal and full-time training! Already tried a few kicks – right knee is super strong…”

You could hear a collective sigh of relief from GSP fans around the globe. But did we jump the gun? After hearing what he said on a Canadian media outlet, maybe: “”I have to get back very slowly. My leg, I cannot go back to full-out sparring (yet). I have to be very careful. The knee feels good. Still not 100 per cent, but it feels much better now. I feel that I had knee surgery, I’m not going to lie. I feel it, but it’s much better than it was. I go very light. Maybe in a few weeks, I will pick it up and I will be 100 percent. But right now I have to go gradually because — my movement pattern — I haven’t done this in a long time. I need to rebuild my nervous system to react normally to the movement pattern.”
